Paula Smith Obituary (2022) – Rindge, Nh, NH
Paula C. (Couillard) Smith, 73, of Rindge, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 26, 2022, just after a period of declining overall health.
Paula was born on January 3, 1949, in Chelsea, MA, the daughter of Paul and Pauline Couillard. Paula and her siblings grew up in Portsmouth, NH, Lincoln, NE, and at some point Danvers, MA. She is a 1967 graduate of Danvers Superior School in Danvers, MA. Right after substantial school she attended Salem State College earning a bachelor’s diploma in French in 1971. She later on attended Fitchburg Point out University in Fitchburg, MA, earning a master’s degree in English Instruction in 1976.
She and Robert F. Smith married on July 7, 1985, in Rindge, NH. Together they honeymooned on the French Riviera. Paula liked the location so significantly she had prepared to retire there with Robert.
Paula really relished her time expended as an educator. She labored for Winchendon public schools as a superior faculty English and French trainer. She was very common with her peers and quite a few of her pupils. Following retirement she was a beloved, Weight Watcher Chief in Keene, NH.
She has normally been a doggy lover to so lots of special puppies about the several years. Her like for dogs led her to be a potent supporter of the American Modern society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and the Monadnock Humane Society. Paula was an avid sports activities fan she loved the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. She was very fond of literature, quilting, cross-stich, and cooking. She will be remembered for the thoughtfulness she exhibited to her loved ones and pals when she would make do-it-yourself products for the new toddlers in her lifetime.
Paula is predeceased by her dad and mom, Paul and Pauline Couillard, and her husband of 26 several years, Robert F. Smith.
She is survived by her stage daughter, Kimberly and her spouse, Monthly bill O’Brien of North Swanzey, NH, her phase grandchildren: Brooke and William O’Brien of North Swanzey, NH and Erin Pathode of Surry, NH, her sister Nancy and husband Frank Gaffney of Danvers, MA, her brother William Couillard of Salem, NH, her niece Brenna Gaffney of Boston, MA, and Shauna and her husband Jay Powers of Somerville, MA, her nephew and his spouse Christopher and Robin Gaffney of Danvers, MA, her grandnephews: Jackson Powers of Somerville, MA and Brayden Gaffney of Danvers, MA and her grandniece Scarlett Powers of Somerville, MA and her good friend Pam Forrest of Rindge, NH, who served enormously in the course of Paula’s disease.
A assistance will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Avenue, Winchendon, MA 01475 where she will be buried with her spouse.
